The following amounts are hereby adopted for purchase of lots in the Sunnyside Cemetery of Caney:
One Lot (8 spaces) $1,096.00 ($137.00 each)
One Half Lot (4 spaces) $700.00 ($175.00 each)
Two Grave Spaces $400.00 ($200.00 each)
One Grave Space $225.00

All stone sets shall be subject to the following rules and regulations:
(a) All memorial stone sets provided by cemetery require a fee of $0.20 per square inch which includes concrete pad and footing.
(b) Stone sets provided by the commercial monument companies will meet required cemetery specifications with approval by sexton. A $10.00 service fee is required.

(b) Steel reinforced concrete collars are required to circumvent all mausoleums (6” wide & 6” deep) to provide appropriate protection. An $85.00 per unit fee is required.
(c) Damage repair charges for companies who of load vaults or concrete boxes with tripods will be $50.00 per unit delivered.
(d) A 48 hour notice will be required on all grave openings.
(e) Child grave openings will be 5’ or less; however, 5’ -8’ will be regular fee.
(f) Minimum requirements for outside containers will be a concrete vault or concrete box inspected and approved by sexton.
(g) Sunday charges will be in effect for any burials which are requested on all legal holidays.

The following general regulations apply to Sunnyside Cemetery of Caney:
(a) The cemetery grounds will be closed from 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. each day. Any person or persons found on the grounds during these hours will be considered a trespasser.
(b) All persons are forbidden to break or injure any tree, shrub, or deface any landmark, marker, or memorial or in any way obstruct the cemetery grounds.
(c) No cast-iron benches, chair, or any wooden or wire tressels shall be permitted on grounds.
(d) The cemetery is not responsible for theft or damage to anything placed on graves or lots.
(e) No glass or pottery containers. Such items are dangerous and may cause injuries when thrown from under a mower or trimmer.
(f) All memorials will be set on uniform lines as prescribed by the cemetery to conform to the general plan of the cemetery.
(g) All markers shall be set facing roadway nearest grave.
(h) Cemetery sexton must provide approval before any marker may be delivered to cemetery for installation.
(i) All markers/memorials shall be installed on foundations specified and approved by cemetery.
(j) The cemetery shall not be liable for any defects or workmanship in materials, markers/memorials provided by commercial vendors or persons.
(k) No memorial may be installed until the charges due for installation have been paid in full.
(l) Terms and condition of sale for lots, interments and stone sets are for cash and in advance of interments.
(m) Approved welfare interments require contribution of lot. County provides cost of interment. Funeral homes provide grave marker.
(n) When cremation has been performed ashes may not be placed or cast on gravesite. Sexton will provide required grave opening and bury ashes, at a cost of $50.00 (Adult/Child) Monday through Friday (8:00 a.m. -5:00 p.m.). Adult/ Child Saturday and Sunday (8:00 a.m. -5:00 p.m.) $75.00.
(o) The city may purchase interment spaces and/or lots previously sold for not more than ·$35.00 per space.
(p) Flowers must be removed from graves within fourteen days after Memorial Day. After that time all flowers will be removed by the city.
(q) All containers are required to be placed on the top of or directly to the side of the headstone.

12-205. Incorporation of official map of the Caney Sunnyside cemetery by reference; designation of lots for potter’s field; lots for infant burials.
(a) The plat map captioned “City of Caney Sunnyside Cemetery” revised November 29, 199l, is hereby adopted as the official map of the Caney Sunnyside Cemetery. Not less than three (3) copies of such map shall be marked or stamped “Official Copy as Incorporated by Ordinance No. 1025” and shall be filed with the City Clerk to be opened to inspection and available to the public at all reasonable business hours.
(b) Potter’s field, being that area designated for burial of the remains of persons who are indigent, or whose estates are insolvent or of insufficient value to pay for the purchase of lots at the rates set forth in sub-section 12-301 above, is hereby designated as Lots 28 through 33, Section B-1 of the Caney Sunnyside Cemetery.
(c) Lots available for burial of children/infants (those buried in a casket of the length of 36”) is hereby designated as Lots 20 and 21, section A, Caney Sunnyside Cemetery. The amount to be charged for purchase of a burial space in the children/infant’ s section of Caney Sunnyside Cemetery is hereby fixed at the rate of $150.00 per burial.
